Can you write a tutorial for ScaleModelGuide?

KeyboardThe aim of Scale Model Guide is to provide a place where modellers can quickly and easily find the answer to any question about scale modelling techniques, methods, skills and tools.  In effect, it is intended to be a bible for scale modellers.

There are many websites devoted to scale modelling and although they can be very useful, some of them seem to have far more quantity than quality.  When I resumed modelling after a long break, I found that it was difficult to get good advice from the Internet and it was frustrating to come across articles giving contradictory advice.

The difficulty of getting hold of well written tutorials was why I conceived and created Scale Model Guide. Initially it was my intention to completely write it all myself.  I wanted to do this to ensure a high standard and consistent format. However, I have found that creating good tutorials that are rich with photographs and diagrams is very time consuming and progress has been slower than I hoped.

P2 Sony cameraIn order to speed up the process of making Scale Model Guide the ultimate scale modelling reference work I am now asking for help.  If you feel that you can write a good tutorial with high quality photographs and diagrams, then please send me an email at editor@scalemodelguide.com.

I should warn you that the article will have to be very high quality and I reserve the right to edit it so that it matches SMG's normal style.  It has to be both accurate and interesting.  Furthermore, any article must be about a subject that has not already been covered as I do not want any duplications on SMG.  I regret there will be no payment - it will be a labour of love.  However, your name will be credited at the end of the article and you will have the honour of knowing that you have contributed to what will be the ultimate reference guide for scale modelling.

Please contact me BEFORE writing the tutorial or doing any work as I need to agree that there is a space on SMG for any proposed articles.

I look forward to hearing from you.
